This research article examines the representation of social consciousness in selected television dramas and explores their role in highlighting contemporary social issues. Television dramas have become more than a source of entertainment; they also serve as an influential medium for promoting public awareness, shaping attitudes, and reflecting the realities of society. The primary objective of this study is to investigate how selected television dramas portray issues such as gender discrimination, family relationships, women's rights, social justice, moral values, and social responsibility. The study employs a qualitative textual analysis to examine the themes, characters, and narratives presented in the selected dramas. The analysis reveals that these dramas effectively depict various social challenges and encourage viewers to think critically about the issues affecting society. Although dramatic exaggeration is occasionally used to enhance the storyline, the selected dramas generally contribute to raising social awareness and promoting constructive social values. The findings suggest that television dramas can play a significant role in social reform when social issues are presented in a balanced, realistic, and responsible manner. The study concludes that television dramas have the potential to foster social consciousness, encourage positive behavioral change, and contribute to public understanding of contemporary societal concerns. It also provides a foundation for future research on the relationship between television media and social consciousness.
