Abstract

The tragedy of Gori is that she was always a victim of the tyranny of relationships. Abandoned by her parents and blamed by her grandmother from a tender age, she was later exploited and objectified by Babu Ram, who initially enticed her with the promise of familial belonging, only to deny her the rightful status of a wife. Gori’s dignity and autonomy were repeatedly stripped away. This study explores Gori’s quest for authentic relationships, revealing a life characterized by emotional disconnection and existential meaninglessness.
