Abstract

The importance of the Lucknow School in Urdu literature is widely recognized. One of the most prominent poets of this school, Sheikh Imam Bakhsh Nasikh, greatly influenced many writers of his time. He introduced a new style of language and expression, and developed a distinct system of modern poetry. As a result, he is regarded as one of the founders of the Lucknow School. This research paper explores various aspects of his poetry, particularly in the context of linguistic refinement.
