Abstract

Social media characterize the modern age, but the significance of newspapers and magazines remains unchanged. Even if there is no access to mobile phones and the internet, the value of newspapers becomes evident. Newspapers are read with keen interest and offer convenience as they can be kept for future reference. They serve as a vital medium of communication, providing comprehensive information on current affairs. Urdu newspapers have always strived to meet the contemporary needs of their readers in every era. They have written about political, social, and cultural issues, contributing to the development of Urdu language and literature. Moreover, newspapers have played a significant role in preserving the history of the Urdu language and literature through their special pages, editions, and literary columns. They have documented the literary activities in various cities, serving as a comprehensive record of Urdu language and literature throughout history.
