This article investigates Urdu literature as a rich medium for understanding the complexities of the human psyche. Rather than treating literature as a purely aesthetic practice, the study approaches Urdu literary texts as reflective spaces where inner conflicts, subconscious impulses, emotional tensions, and psychological development are artistically articulated. Drawing upon key psychological concepts, particularly those related to consciousness, the subconscious, and personality formation, the article examines how Urdu fiction, poetry, and criticism engage with mental and emotional realities. The study argues that Urdu literature not only mirrors psychological states but also deepens the understanding of human experience by transforming inner life into meaningful artistic expression. In this way, literature emerges as a valuable intellectual partner of psychology in exploring the human mind.
