Abstract

Urdu literature and language are based on two speech patterns: poetry and prose, with prose poetry prioritizing emotion and thought, also known as subtle prose, subtle composition, or subtle literature. Prose poetry is a sophisticated form of literature with a rich heritage in both the East and West. It has evolved through abstraction and allegory, but urban living issues have not served as its starting point. The progressive movement in 1936 informed poets about reality, forming the foundation of contemporary prose poetry. It explores various topics, including literary, political, social, economic, moral, and women's issues. Despite being rejected by some, Urdu poetry continues to evolve with various themes and stylistic elements, displaying its unique grandeur in the twenty-first century.
