The word existentialism is derived from the word existence, for which the word existential is used in English. The meanings of existence are "presence, being, life, event or event, existing, being created and being found". Explaining the word existence. Existence is a spatial and temporal state that depends on the existence or being of an individual. Existence is not based on reason, nor does existence accept any values or system based on rational foundations. The philosophy of existentialism is fundamentally based on the individual's individuality and personal freedom. The philosophy of existentialism gave more importance to the individual's inner self and recognized the individual's own attitudes and emotions as the center of his way of thinking. Therefore, we can say that existentialism is not just a philosophy but an attitude that emphasizes the individual's self-affirmation. Past philosophers generally ignored the individual's self or personal freedom. An attempt was made to examine the emotions and feelings of the individual in an objective perspective. As a result, the status of man in society remained like an object. However, the philosophy of existentialism, on the other hand, increased the greatness of man by giving fundamental importance to the inner emotions and feelings of the individual. This article is written about the existentialism in Urdu Novel.
